Where & When are the Boot Camps?
We have 6 locations in parks across Auckland (Central, North, South, East & West) and one in Orewa, Christchurch and Wellington. The Boot Camps run continuously throughout the year and you can join in at any time for a trial week.
How fit do I have to be to join?
We’re not a one size fits all operation, everyone in the group gets challenged according to their individual fitness level whether you already workout regularly or your running shoes have never seen the light of day. At a minimum you have to be able to intermittently jog/walk 2km.
I have to miss a session, how do I organize a make up session?
Just let your trainer know at least 24 hours before you miss the session (in person or by text is fine) & use the contact page of the website to let us know (or call us). We’ll organize a make up session in another time slot.
I have a medical condition/old injury can I still join?
Depends what it is. If it’s an old injury (e.g. your back plays up sometimes) our trainers will change the exercises for you, just let them know at the start of the session. If it’s a medical condition you need to ask your doctor if it’s ok first.
What do I need to bring and wear?
Comfortable running shoes, shorts or track pants and a tee shirt is fine. Bring a bottle of water as it’s important to keep your body hydrated during sessions.
What happens if it rains?
Boot Camp is on rain or shine, look at it as natures way of keeping you cool during sessions, not to mention the time you’ll save in the shower when you get home (just kidding!). In the unlikely event of extreme weather your trainer will contact you before the session starts to cancel it and organize a make up session for everyone.
What kind of equipment do you use in boot camp?
We’re not a workout program pretending to be a “Boot Camp”. Our trainers stay true to the methods the military has used for decades to get recruits fit and use the most effective workout tool out there: YOUR BODY WEIGHT. We also use sand bags, ropes and weighted vests (depending on your fitness level). It’s all you need folks, so stop wasting money on fancy workout devices, and come out for our free trial week, and if you’re not sweating bullets by the end of session, you can walk way without spending a dime!
What do we do in boot camp?
EVERYTHING! Interval training, team fitness drills, circuit training and mission days we’ll have your body moving in all directions so you’ll never hit a plateau! Our program is designed to turn your body into a fat burning machine to get you the sleek, toned muscles you’ve always been after.
